Lacey Township is located in on the eastern coast of New Jersey in Ocean County. It is considered part of the region known as The Jersey Shore. The 2010 Census saw the Lacey Township population increase to an all-time high of 27,644. Forked River, Lanoka Harbor and Bamber Lakes are the three sections that make up Lacey Township, NJ.
Lacey Township has a large number of waterfront homes, most of which allow for docks. Fifteen percent of the 84 square miles is water making the sections of Forked River and Lanoka Harbor a perfect place to buy a waterfront property. People who live in Forked River have easy access to the NJ Parkway at Exit 74.
Lacey Township is blessed with an abundance of natural resources. The four Township lakes, Bamber Lake, Lake Barnegat, Deer Head Lake and Cedar Lake, comprise some of Lacey's most valuable environmental assets, providing natural beauty, recreational opportunities, wildlife habitat and natural flood control.
Lacey has lake and bay beaches and is home to a state marina. The Lacey Historical Society operates The Lacey Schoolhouse Musem dedicated to preserving artifacts about the region.
Education Lacey Township is serviced by its own school district, the Lacey Township School Distict which serves students from Kintergarden through the 12th Grade.
